Children with crooked teeth always end up as an adult with crooked teeth if untreated, only worse as the permanent teeth are usually much larger than the baby teeth are.
Crooked teeth can develop due togenetic tendency or family trait like parents or grandparents with crooked teeth, or they can develop as a result of bad habits such as dummy sucking or thumb sucking whilst a child is growing. These can lead to facial asymmetry or a crooked smile.
Crooked teeth are typically associated with narrow jaws and poor breathing. A narrow, restricted airway can hinder a child’s ability to sleep properly at night, leaving children tired resulting in children that have difficulty concentrating in class.
Just do a simple check and look in whilst your child is sleeping. They should have their mouth closed and lips sealed.
