About us

Selina

Selina is the owner of Oakleigh Dental, but you’d never guess it — she’s one of the most humble members of the team.

Selina is highly experienced, having graduated with honours from the University of Melbourne in 1990, and has been practising in Oakleigh since 1995. She is a member of the Australian Dental Association and holds a Fellowship in Orthodontics for General Practitioners from the International College of Continuing Dental Education.

Helen

Helen is an Associate Dentist at Oakleigh Dental and a graduate of the University of Melbourne. She is also a member of the Australian Dental Association.

Helen loves to learn — prior to completing her qualifications in dentistry, she completed a Bachelor of Science with majors in Microbiology and Pathology. When she’s not learning, you can find Helen trying exciting recipes, travelling, or enjoying time with her family.

Noodle

Our office dog and paw-sitivity officer, Noodle is in charge of keeping the vibes at all times of the day. He is very friendly and loves all our patients.

Emily

Emily is a dedicated Oral Health Therapist and Dental Hygienist who has made Melbourne her home. Born and raised in Malaysia, she speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Hokkien, and understands Cantonese and Malay.

Emily loves dining out and in her free time can be found helping her boyfriend renovate his house.

Elizabeth

Elizabeth is an Oral Health Therapist and Dental Hygienist with a passion for education. She is popular with patients, loving to teach them how to prevent oral disease.

Liz loves travelling and going to music festivals, and is proficient in Mandarin.

Sarah

Sarah brings loads of experience to Oakleigh, having worked in dental practices in country Victoria and metro Melbourne since she was 16 years old! An Oakleigh local, Sarah attended school right around the corner from our practice. She loves to go camping with her family and to relax at home with a glass of red.

Maddie

Maddie is one of our passionate dental assistants, providing constant support to patients. She loves travelling, reading and enjoying live music. Maddie also works hard to make sure all of her house plants are thriving.

Maki

Maki is a hardworking and diligent dental assistant, able to consult in Japanese and support our diverse community with attention and care. Having migrated from Japan, she loves taking day trips around Victoria with her family.

Liz

Liz is a hard working dental assistant and an all rounder at our clinic. She enjoys collecting Sonny Angels and travelling around Asia. Liz adores her pomeranian Peanut and is a passionate foodie, trying all sorts of different restaurants in Melbourne.

Junko

Junko is one of our lovely Dental Assistants. She was born in Japan and speaks fluent Japanese. When Junko is not working, she takes care of her two young boys, and their family cat Wilson.

Alli

Alli is one of our longest-serving Dental Assistants, having worked here for almost 10 years. Her reassuring presence helps even the most nervous of patients feel calm. A tiny pocket of energy, when she can’t be heard laughing in Helen’s surgery, she can be found looking after 5 children and a menagerie of animals.

Sara

Sara is a wonderful Dental Assistant who has settled in Melbourne after moving from Brisbane with her two cats almost a year ago. Sara is studying to be a professional photographer. You can catch her wandering the streets of Melbourne snapping some amazing shots with her trusty Leica camera.
